anyone out there got any ideas

I really would like this building to be fixed and reckon the idea for flat for advanced eco student in agreement with local school groups along with toilets and storage areas is a winner

,meanwhile the roof is increasingly rotten and there is going to be a seroius accident which in my opinion will cost a lot more in compensation than helping fix up the building

Am sure we can fund raise car wash write letters etc as soon as we have a group together

And then ask GCC to help with the rest as a Common Good Property offering shelter to visiting eco students who will be helping educate the community

We have over a thousand replies asking the site be an eco site

This is way more than any other group has got response from community

The benefit of a flat is that it is not empty for half the week as would a museum for example be

I would like the toilet to be manned and voila another couple of jobs

Again all the neighbourhood has even asked for is public toilet and bridge to Partick and the park does need toilets

Personally am not sure what violence is being referred to

the most violent attacks seem to have been when absent

The site attracts less and less debris and attack the more it is gardened

About to plant up with seeds etc

We planted up today some of the front garden

And am hoping for another huge bee success this year

If anyone out there is ready to meet with Ms McKinnon to get the conversaton started please let me know

A permaculture solution will be a feather in Glasgow's cap in my opinion

Can you please formally e-mail (by Monday 17 March 2014) with either your agreement to the attached PTU conditions, or an indication of other sites you may wish to use.

Dear all,

Following recent discussions with you about your use of the site at Elder Park, I continue to have genuine concerns about the safety and wellbeing of users of the site. The Council continues to liaise with Police regarding vandalism of Council sites, but we are aware that Elder Park is being targeted by specific individuals who are known to Police and we have a concern over the use of the site in this context. It is also acknowledged that the there are some safety concerns relating to the building, and it is felt that the use of the yard for the hosting of events, groups and school groups may expose attendees to unnecessary risk.

As has previously been discussed, Land and Environmental Services wishes to conclude dialogue with you about a ‘Permission to Use’ agreement which would ensure issues like risk assessment and child protection were adequately addressed, and we wish this process to be concluded by the end of January 2014.

In the interim period, I would ask that you do not allow events and you do not have any invited groups (including school children) on the site.

Should you feel that you do not wish to enter into a ‘Permission to Use’ agreement for this site, we would wish to enter into discussions with you regarding other potential locations which might prove suitable as an alternative venue for your project, and which would not present such concerns in relation to your safety and wellbeing, and which would be available for you to move into prior to the end of January 2014.
